An inspection of the nursery of vegetatively propagated rootstocks M-9 and VA 29 was carried out at Polosa LLC. During the inspection, it was established that the cuttings were not infected with diseases and pests, were not subject to freezing, and their biometric parameters meet the standards. The total volume of cuttings is approximately 390 thousand pieces.

At Derbent Agro LLC and Vekha LLC, specialists inspected and sampled grape cuttings, and also familiarized themselves with the grafting process in the grafting complex located in the village of Darkush-Kazmalyar, Suleiman-Stalsky District. Cuttings of Kober 5 BB of our own production and from the Republic of Serbia are used as rootstock material. In total, about 3 million grafts are planned.

It should be emphasized that over the past two years, two Kober 5 bb mother plants with a total area of ​​40 hectares have been planted at Vekha LLC. This will allow in the future to fully meet not only its own needs for rootstock material, but also the needs of the republic as a whole.

This rootstock has advantages in protecting vineyards from the quarantine pest phylloxera, and vineyards on such rootstocks demonstrate higher productivity compared to their own rootstocks.
